Pre-orders must be returned to the restaurant no later than 48hrs, or as soon as possible.

Where food has been pre-ordered and we receive cancellation or a reduction in guests within 24hrs, we reserve the right to charge the full amount to cover the cost of the food, and/or  the loss of revenue from blocking other bookings. *Exclusive use bookings, deposits are non-refundable if cancelled within 7 days of the event.

Payment of bills. To avoid unnecessary delay to the operation of the restaurant, we will take payment of one single bill. Splitting payment multiple times as you can appreciate takes a member of staff away from other duties.

The Boatyard Story

Situated on Peel’s historic quayside the Boatyard restaurant opened in May 2013 and enjoys some of the best views of the marina and ancient castle. Our welcoming eatery offers the perfect spot to relax over a delicious lunch or candle lit evening meal whether your here for business, pleasure or a family day out. We specialise in fresh, local shellfish & seafood as well as meat and vegetarian dishes using as much locally sourced produce as possible. As well as handpicked wines chosen to compliment our food, we also stock a growing selection of local beers, mineral waters and fruit juice drinks, some of which are produced, bottled and delivered within a few miles of our restaurant.

The restaurant is owned and operated by the Mowat family. Restaurateurs with over 10 years experience on the Island, and many more from hospitality businesses in the UK, they also own and operate the Tanroagan Seafood Restaurant in Douglas. The Mowat family look forward to welcoming you to the Boatyard Restaurant and along with the entire team wish you a memorable dining experience.

Located on the west coast, Peel is a thriving Manx fishing port with a marine heritage that spans hundreds of years. Aptly named “Sunset City” you’ll be awarded stunning views of the sun setting, offers a glimpse of the Mountains of Mourne, and beautiful rugged coastline. Home to an extensive modern marina, the town welcomes a number of pleasure craft throughout the year – many of whom come for the fantastic sandy beach and variety of things to see and do. The magnificent ruins of Peel Castle, located on St Patrick’s Isle, dominate the landscape and visitors can tour the remains as part of the Story of Mann trail. There’s also the opportunity to find out more about the Island’s, and Peel’s, history by visiting the interactive House of Manannan museum, the Leece Museum and the unique Manx Transport Heritage Museum. In Peel you will find the Island’s only cathedral as well as a working kipper curers which offers a fantastic insight into the production of the famous Manx Kipper. Between May and August Peel is also one of the best places in the British Isles to see basking sharks from the shore. Often up to the length of a bus in size they regularly come within metres of the shoreline and surrounding cliffs. visitisleofman.com
